Yet when a teacher suggests that preteen Misty Copeland take her first-ever dance class, every move comes naturally to her. Misty has real talent, and with training, could be wonderful. Her home life, though, is anything but. Moving constantly with her growing family, she is used to going unnoticed. Taking the stage will mean coming out of her shell. Is she ready? This true story will have you cheering!
My name is Ms. Atkinson and I am the librarian at Shawsville Middle School in Montgomery County, Virginia. I have been a school librarian for eleven years. My hope is that this blog will help my students at SMS find books that interest them and encourage them to read more.
